Lyle is a member of the nightwolf species, a wolf race from an eastern land. They are on average strong and fast, and many like Lyle, are part of ninja clans. They lack the common weakness to silver like werewolves and some other wolf-type creatures, and have naturally warm body temperatures- an adaptation to their cold homeland. They also have a strong hatred for all kinds of vampires, but Lyle is not the type to fight one without a good enough reason.
Lyle is a master ninja, having been trained in the use of many weapons and skills, such as stealth. Because of his strength, he can even swing great swords with ease, useful for fighting monsters when he is at a size disadvantage.
Lyle likes being grown larger by Scale's staff, enjoying the power that it brings. Often when they are together this is their go-to method for defeating enemies that are large or numerous. Sometimes, Lyle will be smaller too, as it is useful for sneaking around unseen when doing so at normal-size would be too difficult.
