Oh beautifull. Love the emptyness and plainess of the lower part of the composition contrasting with the more realistic wolf above. You were sucessfull in giving the observer a sensation of loneliness, despite the wolf displaying a very active behaviour (it seems to be sniffing or searching for something, instead being more passive as expected for a "loneliness" themed painting.)

I love the way you convey lonesome - that curiosity that starts to take over in the absence of anyone to relate to. As you become separated from the world around you the simplest of things can become fascinating, the most everyday of scenes beautiful.

That's very nice! The warm tones on the wolf against some of the cool greys below really help to balance it. And I agree that it's a refreshing composition, for something that still follows the rule of thirds -- it takes salt to go with the top third ^_^

I don't know what to say about this, it's so lovely. I adore how you used the negative space to set the mood. That is just absolutely grand.
