So the other day Torakhan and I had a lovely outing...it involved minigolf, go-karts, and then a rousing arcade game of Big Buck Hunter (I think that's the name). During one of Tora's turns on our Kudu hunt, a Kudu cow suicidally leapt in front of a bull, which is such bullshit (if you shoot a cow, your turn immediately ends).
We decided this is what happened. :)

Big Buck Safari! That game's totally a replica of the real safari experience... shooting pretty much everything in the bush for extra points and having the accented guy tell you you're an awesome shot when really, you aren't! I've always kinda wanted to heighten the experience by getting loaded on gin and tonics before/while playing!
OMG WE COULD MAKE A DRINKING GAME OUT OF IT. Hit a bull, take a shot. Hit the "money bull" (biggest bull each round) take two shots. Hit a "critter" just take a sip. Hit the "predator trophy" and shooter buys everyone a round. ;)
Hit a cow, throw a dollar in the "money to buy booze" cup. ;)

And that part is such perfect "Victorian/Edwardian Trophy Hunter" logic. Blast the bejeebers out of random hyenas, aardvarks, beetles, lions, elephants/hippos/giraffes that just happened to wander around where you're theoretically there to shoot Cape Buffalo - you've no idea just how badly you're decimating an entire ecosystem, but the moment you actually hit a cow from the species you're theoretically okay to hunt, terribly sorry old boy but that's poor sport, it's really quite horrid.
LMAO I know right???
As a sustenance hunter, I do a lot for deer herd management (well, less now that I'm back in college and don't have as much time but still) and have researched how to properly maintain the wild herd...and one of the MOST important parts of herd management is KILLING DOES. They are after all where MOAR deer come from, lol!!! Normally when someone fills a doe tag on the property I hunt and conserve on, I wanna high-five 'em for doing their part! :P
