I HAD to post this because i'm so damn proud of how it turned out <3, i can't wait til after christmas.
This is a little picture i found on the net to base my brother's papercutting off of, I loved the added detail of the blue pinstripes (I'm assuming this is the same print as their uniform, i'm sure someone can confirm that), and i broke one of my own rules (OMG REALLY?!?! XD i know) and that piece in the center is indeed floating in the middle on the same "layer" as the rest of the white. I even left the Major League symbol in just for a little added detail, although i will say i know i left the baseball dot out- becuz its just too insanely small to paste on the top.
I'm SO happy with how it turned out, that i'm not sure i even want to frame it for him, but i'll probably just do a "frameless" picture frame as i normally do. I know it looks lopsided- it isn't, that's my scanner bed being too small to fit the whole thing, but no stripes are cut off- just a little of the edge.

I just love the way your paper art is made from subtracting pieces & layering, like the pinstripes made from the blue underneath the white paper. I don't know how you get everything so accurate that way, but the craftsmanship is always beautifully clean <3 omg You even got the little mlb logo down there!! :D
I think the frameless picture..uh, frame would look great with this too. One with a decorative border might be too distracting XD

thank you! I'm a bit of a perfectionist as heart when it comes to certain things. *sheepish smile* so it comes out when i papercut, becuz i know how accurate i want it to be. For this i did use a ruler to cut the pinstripes- freehand was just too messy, but the rest is freehanded. you should see me freak out when i do something wrong XD its not pretty.
Yep! i tend to use those for my papercuttings, or recommend using them to the person i give it to- they actually are only glass with tiny metal clips on each side keeping the glass on.

haha, you don't have to talk to me about being a perfectionist. If the way you freak out over mistakes is anything like how I freak out when my projects go awry.. then I get it, totally not pretty. Sometimes I get worked up too much though and make myself cry >D<;
Regardless, its that perfectionism that makes your craftsmanship so superb! Your paper art always looks so professional :D
