The underwater base, Stagnation is a research facility that specializes in mixing sea creature DNA with humans for making the perfect water breathing human. Depending on the human who spend millions of dollars to genetically enhanced their features into more sea creature.

Their choice of their gills can on their neck or the sides of the body. However, the genetically enhancement on humans has gone wrong, when crazy scientists become too interested into making monsters to do their bidding. Instead of making gills, fins, webbed feet, and webbed hands on regular humans who loves to swim and live in the ocean.

Most of the humans who wished to be half-fish are resulted being into a bloodthirsty giant mutant sea monster without knowing what the scientists have done to them. Their genetically enhancement may be too much for them resulting the humans transforming into sea mutant monstrosities who feed on human flesh, thus creating a viral contagious virus that can be transferred when the mutants bite or share bodily fluids with humans. Making them infected humans, the incubation period is 5 - 10 hours. His/her human features are left intact, but their body may be deformed. Their humanity is lost, they cannot change back into their normal selves, the change is incurable.

The research facility is soon abandoned and no one has escaped the underwater base because of those newly-created sea monsters. Military teams are now investigating the incident.
