I'm at college again for few days and needed something light and easy to draw. So the result of two days worth of breaks is a Friesian stallion. That counts towards my heavy horse project, right? They're..uh, sort of related to Shires? And stuff. Err, yeah.
So a cuddly horsie...

Beautiful. Detailed. Life-like. You draw horses really well, you have so many pictures of horses in your gallery. Not too fond of horses, but have to say that almost every horse picture you have here is beautiful. Maybe you are great at drawing horses because you draw them so many of them. Anyway, great picture.
Thanks! I was your average horsie nut female child and hence started drawing (awful) horses from a very early age on. When I started drawing a bit more "seriously" I found that the horse magazine I had been poring over for years were great reference material and helped me immensely. Thus horses have always been my strongest area, which is why even now if I just want to draw something quick and simple, I'll draw a horse. It's also why these days I've been making a conscious effort to learn to draw a variety of different animals, so I don't get stuck with horses. ^_^
Lovely drawing! only bit i noticed was the neck might be a bit too thin, but minor detail!
I just did a shire, then realized the neck was too short & the legs too long lol, AFTER i'd finished it.
I've been out of whack with trad media for a while too long, it seems, hehe. I needs more draws! *wields mechanical pencil* Fresians rock, by the way! ^_^

Thanks very much! You are right about the neck, I was trying to emphasise the arching neck Friesians have and it turned out a little thin. Oh well, practice makes perfect and all that. Well, at least it will pass the time. And you are right, Friesians rock! They are pretty to look at and lovely to ride. ^_^
Nice Frisian. Very well done and the only little manko I would see was already spoken about...the neck.
And you are right Frisians and Shires are very close related....because Frisian blood helped saving the Shires when they where nearly gone. They helped to rebuild the Shire Horses.
See you
