Yeah, honestly if I was Chris Rock, I would have fought that line. I suppose he went with it though, for all of the white black jokes, er I mean, lion zebra jokes, in the movie or something. Not that I had to watch the movie [which I haven't] to know it was fulla those. :o

I don't think that line is so much racist as some of the other things said in Madagascar 2.

King Julian wishes for a separation of the classes on the airplane. Called the penguin his slave.

The little skit about unions between the penguins and the monkeys was a little risque too, not to mention the talk about religion.

But I think the creators are obviously poking fun at these Issues, and I believe they are no way racist or discriminatory.

I remember that some old Domino Pizza commercials had buffaloes with wings, and they were flying around and stuff, and then it showed those same wings being all cooked and sauced up and seasoned and oh so tasty good god I wish I had some right now D=

You gotta forgive my pedantry here, but the way you and your speech bubble are oriented ever so slightly out-of-frame (especially the occlusion of a final period) in the last panel actually contributes a lot to the nonsequiturial absurdity of the strip. I don't know why that should have struck me as something important enough to say out loud... but there you go.
