Here is a work that was actually composed jointly by me and another friend and composer named Joey. It's three performers (us two composers and a third person) all playing on one grand piano (with a moment of bass drum at one point in the piece). The piece is supposed to represent the four main stages of a star's life--the nebula, the star itself, the super nova, and the black hole...so, yeah, billions of years worth of history summarized in a few minutes of music.
