Sketched this up in the Green Truck Pub in Savannah (inbetween bites of a sweet quesadilla) and colored it in Reynold's Square downtown. That town is so beautiful and perfect,
Just in the time I was drawing this,
and I saw an albino squirrel (more like, super light beige so more leuicistic) who would walk around our bench like he didn't give a single fuck. A bluejay kept wizzing over our head to grab peanuts off the ground next to us, a SCAD student gave me some free gum and asked if she could take a picture of me blowing a bubble for a photography project,
And finally a wise old man wearing a navy blue sailor's cap and heart shaped glasses walked over to the bench next to us and started playing a MEAN flute while feeding the birds and squirrels.
Savannah is my home, there's really no other way to put it in words.

That's amazing! I've gone on about five-seven ghost tours (one hearse and the rest were walking, we repeated tours with the same company once or twice) I really want to go on Ghosts and Gravestones! My first job idea after moving was definitely a tour guide! But after talking with a guide named Heather and another guide like a year later named Dillon, they both told me how it's a little dangerous because of the 'open container law' and muggings that happen during the tours. So I would probably see if G&G has a driver AND a guide, that way I could proudly spout off Savannah information without having to do the nervewracking job of driving an enormous bus around the narrow historic district streets.
And if not a Ghost tour guide, I would be happy to work in one of the house tours. Mercer would definitely be a top pick- but Davenport, Owens-Wilson, Kehoe, Juliette Gordon-Low, Andrew Low, Sorrel Weed, etc etc are options that are safer.
But I know that locals I've befriended have warned me of 'Savannah-related' jobs, insisting I should get a job in a place that's a chain/franchise, because the job/hours/pay is secure and not seasonal. I wanted to work at Nourish on Broughton, but a super sweet acquaintance there named Colleen has told me that it's not a supportive job, and essentially that anything in the northern district is going to be really hard to make ends meet at.
So, I'm looking into places like banks or retail in mid-town. Possibly even working for the apartment office that we are looking at moving into.
SORRY FOR THE MASS TEXT, I just LIVE for that place. Over the years we've bought about 30 books on Savannah, some on the history and some on the hauntings, but I'm also working on my own book that I want to self-publish through a printing site of my photographic adventures there!
