I wanted to try muscular ponies again, it’s something I haven’t done in a while. I’ve got a better handle on my anatomy now, and I think I’ve figured out a way to blend the realistic muscle structure with my style. I like this a lot, he looks fluffy but solid underneath it.

The second thing I tried was a new shading technique, it’s still experimental. I’m practicing with the acrylic brush in SAI, it’s giving me almost as much control right now as my other technique, but lets me get a more natural feel. Further practice and I think I’ll have something cool!
