I decided I was ready for the responsibility of a pet recently, and was trying to decide what to get, since I needed to use a tank (landlord says no pets except fish and other things that never leave the tank). As soon as I found out I could have an axolotl, I went out and got one right away!

I don't know if it's male or female so I just use "she" as a default. Her name is Charm.

I'm still learning about the best way to care for her--recently realizing that keeping the tank cool enough this summer will be an issue. I'm willing to sink money into her habitat, though, to keep her happy and healthy!
