I noticed "cuddling" is under the "no" list... Forgive me for asking, but was this meant to be put there? I'm just a bit confused! x)

I should have also been specific, I'm talking about F-list here! c:

Oh! Yeah, there's some fetishes and kinds of stuff people usually commission artists like me that I just don't get into drawing for whatever reason. Cuddling, isn't a bad thing at all, but I find it a task to draw simply because it's usually boring, to me. I'm not opposed to someone incorporating cuddling into something more creative, I just want to avoid commissions where it's just two characters, laying there holding eachother, and nothing else.

Wouldn't that also apply to art that's just some guy sitting around naked, with a boner

I wasn't being accusatory of anything you have drawn, just haven't seen the whole 'that's boring, make me draw something more interesting' standpoint before for an artist. Mostly because a lot of people aren't very imaginative and just want some basic porn, I think?

Because, you know. Sitting around naked with a boner is probably the most common commission scenario. It is like. The vanilla of the porn world.

I guess that's what happens when most people in the fandom don't draw, so it's our job to draw their characters for them, doing whatever the creator feels for their character. Sometimes people want really simple, vanilla art of there character to get to know them better, which is fine. But recently I've been so burnt out drawing the same static pose illustration request that I can't find the drive to draw it. If it's my character then that still has a personal connection to me, so it's a bit more motivating.
Commissions are usually much easier to bust out when it's got a deeper connection to the character involved, or if it's porn, porn that's unusual or a challenge for me to draw in some aspect. Hence the list.

For an alternative challenge, have your commissioner watching over you shoulder and needling you for constant revisions 8'D

For less silly things though, I've often wanted to do something with Kaed to make him more visually interesting than 'yellow wolf'. But I don't really know what to do or if I should keep trying to improve my art so I don't have to commission someone else for design work. Being an artist is hard, and I admire that you have enough motivation to even take commissions and produce results. The last time I took commissions I ended up having to refund people.
