this is my character Melanie, resting on a bed

i know her breasts are a little funny.

done on A3 sized paper, and scanned in in 2 pieces, therefore the hard white lines.

uploading because someone requested to see more of my art.

Hehe, indeed ^^ I love the colors in this, it's a nice contrast of gray-blue and green and pinks <3 I would love to know what you colored this with and I like the pose, great job! ^^

started with watercolor, experimented with adding Derwent graphiting and the ink ones (name escapes me at the moment).

I can't use watercolors to save my life XD Or well...I haven't really experienced one of GOOD quality. I'm not sure what Derwent Graphite is but I think I should look into those =3 Looks really nice ^^ And You're most welcome ^^

are you good with crayons ?

they act like crayons until you apply water, then they look like watercolor / ink / graphite, depending on what you're using (the two last are called inktense / graphitint).

they are just not cheap.

Yeah, I'd say I'm fairly decent with crayons even if I don't use them as often as I used to ^^; I really should look those up, I thought they weren't cheap though XD But it's nice to have a material that has versatility and different ways to handle it =3

i ve pretty much stopped using regular water painting, i feel i get better results with these, the good thing is you can keep applying them (let the drawing dry, then apply another layer.)
