magicka is staying with me because she feels that she has to protect me.

quick description of magicka:
she's a sorceress specialicing in the earth element, her bracelet is a "dampener" (losing control i snot something we want)
i'll just say she's powerful (I don't recall there being a mountain here )

You mention she 'thinks' she can protect you? Meaning...she really can't? =/ Or not what you meant at all and I was just putting too much thought? XD

I wanted to draw my fursona, and i had been focusing on females up to that point, i didn't want to learn to "relearn" how to draw, and i wanted to try something different from all the "buff" (i am big, i am strong) types and work tovards something looking more sentimental and in need of protection (not looking like the kiind a guy who would get a female for the night and then dump her).
besides i wanted a fursona i could identify with.

i can't help but create a background story / personality when i'm playing around with a new concept (melanie started out as a test to see if i liked the "lineless" style when i first started playing around with watercolor).
what do mean with her environment ? (using her magic, commanding her elemental (she's always had it) or protecting / caring about me ? ) i have a sketch of her laying relaxed on soem rocks with her elemental standing guard.

she's very capaple of protecting me (she probably is overprotective but that is one of her design flaws)
she fells stat she's strong and i'm weak, therefore she feels that has to protect me.

I think it's great that you're inclined to draw guys in that sense and don't just strictly tend to be all muscley and creepy. I'm sorry I did confuse them though, not my intention, however, it would be nice to see more pictures of them two ^^ This piece is very pleasant to see along with some of the recent arts, you've been doing a great job of handling them so far =3

And yea, that's pretty much what I meant by placing her in her environment, seeing her in a rocky background, moving rocks...doing I dunno...just something that shows that she's from an earth element. I'm sure it will look stunning <3 And it's sweet that she's an overprotective character, it's not something used commonly me thinks, at least the overprotectiveness, unless it's a mother or something along those lines ^^

I prefer some realism with my characters (my females breats are not that big (it's not like they stuffed 2 "inflated" beach balls in their bras) , right ?)
no problem about getting confused, happens for the best of us.

or perhaops have her sitting on the shoulder of a big elemental, or standing on what appears to be a "bump in the landscape" arms spread and lifted, while the ground up front slowly rises (no idea on how to do that one), something like that ?
having her being overprotective, means knowing she's not just hanging around until something better comes along, besides i didn't make her being overprotective, that part of her just came along by itself.

part of me says, 'aah how cute'
and the other says 'boob hug!'
but this is great ether way.
