But it is unlikely. See, Eevees follow what we can call the 'primary types' of Pokemon. In other words, the elemental or 'fundamental' pokemon types. There are other types of pokemone, but those are generally what we would call 'secondary' types. They're not based on some kind of elemental concept. This includes ones like dragon, steel, poison, ghost, flying, ground... I could see perhaps a Rock-type eevee at some point, but definitely not a bug type.

Also fairy type was a new gimmick introduced in the recent games, so they had to make an eeveelution for it, though I wouldn't qualify 'fairy' as something fundemental. More of an outlier than a standard for what's to come.

How primary can they be when Pokemon doesn't even have a pizza type? That's the most important classical element of all.
