So I'm proud to finally reveal my stress child of the last couple months. Meet Bahamut!
This isn't the best photo of him but you can still see alot of the detail put into him. That and our stage monkeys are visible to help hold the wings in so we didn't have to fully attach them for final photos.
Bahamut was a collab between myself and my beautiful waifu who is cosplaying Lulu alongside me on stage. He is a mix of various mediums, some of which I've never used previously so he was definitely a learning experience! Some some info on him as well as the lovely Lulu~
Height: 7 foot
Tail length: 7' 4"
Wingspan: 11+ feet
Total hours put into creation: 350+
-Minky skin with polyfill pockets
- head is an EVA base with upholstery foam for "muscle" and shape covered in Worbla
- The largest horns are over 2 foot long but all the horns are reinforced with Worbla to hold their shape
-All the scaling is made from EVA foam (foamies to full mats) there were primed and painted
- Bahamut's head is built on a bicycle helmet. My vision is through a port on the nex
- His feet (stilts) were a last minute option as he was originally supposed to have true digistilts
- The wing supports are built off of football shoulder pads! a system of PVC is BOLTED to the back and the small and big wings are attached through couplings.
- This beautiful monstrosity was finished 20 minutes to when we needed to be checked into the green room and took 3 trips to bring down EVERYTHING we needed for our skit! (summoning circle included!)
FUN FACT: A couple large feathers fell off after this was taken. LaRire and I, in our frustration with this beast and with plans of better wings already in our minds for the future, gleefully destroyed the large wings upon returning to the room. Much to the horror of the rest of the Performing Monkeys but....ooooooh sooo worth it!
LULU FACTS~
-Made and worn by LaRire of Performing Monkeys Cosplay
- All the embroidery on her skit and sleeves was hand embroidered. Over 600 hours worth of work!
- she had to reduce the number of belts on the dress but she still is wearing an impressive 17 belts along the front of her dress!
- Her hair pins are also made by LaRire! You can't really see them from here but trust me, they are sooo pretty!
- Her doll of choice is a moogle!
- She spent hours practicing her resting bitch face. True story!
- Look at her! She's the perfect Lulu~ Go love her!
For real though, LaRire is a beautiful Lulu and will be wearing her to more conventions this summer! However, Bahamut will not be making anymore appearances for a while till he's fixed up.

Sooo awesome!! I hope there's more pictures! Did you get to wear him on the convention floor? Or was it just for the masquerade/contest?
The video was very amusing I'm glad I got to see you guys in action! (also now I realize what the stage hands meant by keeping our werewolf mask facing away from the curtain. You really CAN see the glowing eyes through them. XD)

i had to side step to the center of the stage. It was so ridiculous! But I'm glad I got him finished for the masq at least. And I wish I could have put him on the con floor but sadly, no D: We went back on stage for a few minutes for photos but that was it. Hopefully more photos will pop up!
