The Sud-Ouest 4050 Vautour was french multirole combat aircraft which entered in service in 1958 powered by two engines SNECMA Atar. Israel bought 31 Vautour in April 1957 before to retired them in 1972. It was engaged in the Six-days War by the Israeli Air Force in 1967. The French Air Force used it for the nuclear tests over the French Polynesia for the picking up of particles in the air with probes placed under the wings. Five of them were send on the ocean floor because of the high level of contamination on them, they were the n°317, 604, 607, 611 and 625, four others were scraped and a last one, the n°302, is static exposed on the atoll of Hao.
Same if it doesn't look to be, the Vautour was a very manoeuvrable aircraft and very easy to fly. The French Air Force reformed them in 1978
This one, the n°640, came by its own wings in 1981 at the Ailes Anciennes of Toulouse from the CEV of Cazaux, it was originaly based on the BA 106 of Bordeaux-Mérignac and served in the 92ème Escadre de Bombardement.
