dam it splatoon why are you so good, so while im not sure this is true (Because the sunken scrolls are to bs cryptic to work out)
it kind of says that it is the future after the destruction of man kind, and in one it says about why squids are good and octos are bad as squids help the last humans and gave them a choise or something and octopus gave them no choise and brainwashed and converted humans into octolings (hence why the king and the servants are all octo creatures but the octoligns are human)

either way i don't care as the octolings look cooler and if the conversion thing is true then ive been though it and become a servant of the octolings
