ffffff lol you're so sweet ;___; Haha, I've just been unsatisfied with my work lately. I noticed that if I allow myself more time to work on something, I'm much happier with the outcome. I usually try to rush myself to finish something as fast as I absolutely can.
I usually finish penciling something in a hurry and begin to ink the same day, and finish up inking the next day. But.. with this one, I devoted a whole day to the sketching alone, and TWO days for the inking. XD The scales and grass and stuff took forever, haha. x_x;
ANYWAY yes, thank you so much Sno, ilu. ;0;

I AM DEAD FROM AWESOME.
I don't think I can explain how happy this picture makes me, because you have illustrated something I'd never be able to.
You got Sonata's design down right on the spot and she looks beautiful~ I adore her face and wings. Her chin horns are so pretty!
Also, your inkwork is wonderful!
I'm gonna go send this link to everyone i know and squeal in a pile of goo for a bit, okay?
Eeeee!
thank you so much~
(btw, I'll get that $5 to you in a few minutes)

*SQUEAK* @_____@ !!!
This. Makes. Me. SO HAPPY. 8D
I definitely tried to make sure that I stayed true to your design for Sonata. I kept looking over and over again at the references you gave me so that I wouldn't make any mistakes with her concept. XD SO that you think I got her spot on makes me feel THRILLED because I was definitely aiming to do that. @___@
Andand fljfkrrio YAY I'm just so overjoyed that this piece makes you as happy as it does! *BIG HUGS* C: *HAPPY TEARS* ;0;
(I GOT IT thank you : D : D : D love:)

One thing that strikes me is that the dragon seems to be leaning too much to the left, unless she's supposed to be jumping and landing... but then I think it would have been best if you had kept her hind legs off the ground to show that's what she was doing. But that's my two cents anyways :B. I love those scales though ;3;.
Wh-.. huh? D: Sorry, haha, this just threw me off. What do you mean by leaning too much to the left, exactly? She isn't really supposed to be jumping and landing or anything, just sort of stretching her wings out a little.
She's just walking in some grass, with flowers sprouting as she walks. Or do you mean that the ground doesn't seem level enough? If that's the case, I really didn't want the ground to be perfectly straight.. I've never walked through a field that didn't have bumps and uneven ground, and I kind of wanted to capture that feeling. XD If anything, if I had made the ground too even, -that- would have looked unnatural. e.e
Or is that not what you were getting at?
I'm glad you like the scales, though. :} Thank you!

I'm trying to think up words that the describe how beautiful this piece is. The inking makes me green with envy. The way your lines just come to life like that... oh god. You're truly one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to lineart and inking in general. It becomes harder and harder not to just copycat you lol
I think the best part is the grass, I'm just amazed by how FUCKING GREAT it looks

*BLUSH FOREVER* @_@ Well, your coloring techniques make -me- green with envy. 8D; I'd love to grasp coloring the way you do. Your pieces are always.. incredible. You're easily my favorite, er, 'colorist'? XD
If you see something you like, you can feel free to try and mimic it if you really enjoy the way it looks. I just try to experiment at least a little bit whenever I ink something.
hahah, I am HAPPY(!!) that you like the grass. It took a really long time to do. D:
THANK YOU 'MU <33333333333

A friend of mine said he thought the dragon was "shiny" like silver or something, when he saw the "depth marks" whorled in on the wings, so that might be something to take note of.
Also, you are doing something here that only advanced artists can do: draw out every scale, line by line, without making the creature look shattered or scoured, like many scaled/feathered creatures do when illustrating every one of their folicles.
You also got the idea of "flowers growing where she walks" down well, as well as the fact that it is a female dragon... I was thinking the same things before I read your comments on the work.
I thought to comment on this one because, well, you asked for it, and I think artists too often get too little detailed information on what others think other than a "nice job" or "moar!" in so many words.
I ramble by the way... consider it a character flaw
And one last thing. Stay pure and cheerful: Too many artists nowadays have lost that spark of light that makes the viewer feel welcome to their gallery, and more like a lurker or art leech. I'll hope for good fortune in your life so its easy to stay cheerful;) (I'm of course responding in kind to how openly you talk with those who leave you comments, as well as your overall nature in your texts)
I go now before more rambling comes kay thanx buy.

I have to admit that the reason I have not replied to this comment is simply this: I was speechless! I just... had no idea what I could possibly say in response. You went into such lovely detail about what you liked and what you saw. I feel so unbelievably fortunate to have such thoughtful feedback made for something I created.
*gives you a BIIIIG HUG!* You're so sweet. Every time I read this comment, I feel happy and at ease.
And again.. I want ao apologize for not responding to you sooner. I just now was able to put together a response that was not something like this: "OMG EEEEEEE THANK YOU!" which, I suppose, isn't necessarily bad, but.... *nervous laugh*
Thank you again, Seacigar. You're a sweetheart.

This is one of the most good-looking inkings I've seen.
Nice effects (wing transparency, grass, and the smoothness of the rest of it.
This looks pretty pro to me
The only thing that I notice here (not even enough noticeable to be something bad), is the large outline on both sides of the tail (I just never got myself to drawing bold outlines on my drawings anyway, thats why I think I'm still not very confortable with that technique), but don't worry about this that I said, it's just my noob opinion :P
But again, its awesome, and deserves a very big fav from me :D

Goodness, thank you so much! Now that I look back on this piece, it seems like I could have been much more 'involved' with the inking. I could have filled out the scene more. I'll keep that in mind for my future illustrations.
I'm so happy that you like the look overall. The thicker outline on the tail was added to give the appearance that it is closer to the viewer, because indeed it is. The dragon is walking, for the most part, away from the viewer, so the large outline gives the illusion that the tail is the part of the dragon that is closest to us. I notice this technique being used most frequently among comic-style artists, though. :)
*blushes lots!* I want to thank you very much for taking the time to leave thoughtful feedback like this. I love it! : D *hugs!*
