Uhh I am sorry for slacking so much and not commenting on this earlier... I'm so happy with this lovely gift, it was a fantastic and awesome surprise!
First of all, the way you did Rain is stunningly accurate to how I envision him! I love his expression and pose greatly, a peculiar mix of stubborn gaze from below his brows and the shy, innocent incline of his muzzle. His personality (as I perceive it outside of him being just myself, from the 3rd person point of view) is really somewhat like that - alternating interplay moments of bold, sometimes rude straightforwardness and extreme shyness/care.
I also love how you've experimented omitting the black lines, creating a unique space and light of the drawing. It's delightful how Rain is in perfect harmony with the background texture while, at the same time, the volume and mass of his body is conveyed clearly. The blue splashes and yellow dots on the background add greatly to make this dragon feel really, really at his place, in a landscape that is out of the focus of our sight, but to which Rain's colors are a natural adaptation. You've created an ambience that feels really cozy for him, and, at the same time, imbued the drawing with vivid, stop-motion action through his stance and look.
And all the little detail on Rain are so adorable! The golden coiled-coil horns and ears, the mix of pastel colors on the fluffed mane streaks and muzzle, as well as the gentle flow of the blue shades on the body, create a truly sculptural volume, standing out amazingly against the mural painting feel of the background.
And I surely must mention the wings! Their sails semi-transparency is very, very organic and lifelike, with all the subtle shades and hatches of darker and lighter color. The impression of gentle stretch, lively tension, flexibility and yet durability in them is just palpable. Really, I can FEEL these membranes against Rain's wing bones and fingers! Honestly, these are the most beautiful and lively wings I've ever seen, and I have hundreds, if not thousands dragon pictures in my archive! The wing sails, the delicate membrane-carrying fingers, all is in harmony here!
Really, it is amazing how close this drawing feels to my perception of Rain, both in visual form and feeling!
Thank you very, very much for such a great gift! *^^*

Whoa; a novel! :D
And as I told dreamitry I didn't mind if you commented or not, I showed you on aim. :] And again I am so glad you like it, I like making stuff for people who i think will appreciate it, especially when they aren't expecting it. ;D I'm glad I got him consistent with how you view him, I had a pretty shaky start trying to figure out how to draw him at first. <3
