MiLayna's is a lonely Leopardess. Having lost her mother and baby brother at 10 Four-Seasons old, and her father at 18 Four-Seasons old, with her sister happily mated with two cubs of her own, MiLayna spends most of her time, hunting for her Tribe, or helping Elanka, the Tribe's Medicine Cat, care for the sick or injured Cats of the Tribe. Tribal Law states that a Medicine Cat may not take a mate, so, because she spends so much time with Elanka, the males of her Tribe don't even give MiLayna a second glance, thinking that she is to become Elanka's successor. But only the Spirits can choose the new Medicine Cat, and Elanka has not told MiLayna that this is so. In knowing what the males of their Tribe, think of MiLayna, Elanka sends her on a long journey to find herbs to heal an ailing Foreign Cat, that MiLayna found freezing in the snow, while hunting one day. MiLayna has made lots of friends along the way, but she longs for the love of a mate, and cubs of her very own. Here is a Kitty Cub she finds on her journey, orphaned and searching for a new family. She brings MiLayna such joy, that that is what she names her... Joy!
