Back in 2001 I was still clinging to the whole gothy look of things. I still happen to like how this came out. I was pretty regularly playing with various ways of inking, which was also pretty darn common to find in gothy circles at the time.
Originally, Shot in the Dark was supposed to be a sort of mailable catalog of sorts but I never did get it off the ground and through the post even though I'd finished the whole brochure thing.. Basically, it was for a real mailing list as opposed to an emailing list. (I still don't have an emailing list.) This image was the front cover of the folded brochure thing.
I really don't know if there would be any demand for something like this. All I could possibly think of would be to offer print deals or announce convention appearances and whatnot. Honestly, nothing you couldn't find online anyhow except that it would be mailed out and be, well, real and tangible. Of course, the idea came after a number of years involved in a couple of fanzine type things (not furry related) so tangible things got a lot more attention from me. I kinda dropped the idea when I was like DUH the internet gets things out way faster. Still, I have to admit I miss the days that fan-type stuff got sent through the mail. It gave a surprise, something to look at, to hold, to look forward to getting a few times a year.
Heh, once upon a time I was much more organized. Then again, I also wasn't so overwhelmed. I will probably do something weird like this whenever Marble Town is ready to be launched, or for any other smaller projects that may end up coming out first, but not until then.
What can I say, I like the old, underground feeling of copy paper folded, stamped and sent roughly through the post before it reaches a destination.

I always liked tangible things, getting stuff in the mail. . .
ive been considering mass-mailings of catalog-like brochures myself. . .all I need is a good mailing list and a few hundred bucks. ..^^;
It would be neat to start a new mini-magazine for furries like 2600 is for hackers :3
