Yea I liked that one too - My fave was "Who Would Jesus Hate?" Effective but I don't think the folks who were for Prop 8 were necessarily hating, just misguided....

i agree, but then again any gay rights protest ive been too, there was always one dumbass that counter protested with something that had nothing to do with the original protest. >.<

There were no religious or other groups there being mean to us. Everyone who turned out was supportive.

It just amazes me that with all the problems we have flying around the country and even the world these days, gay marriage rights get the most attention. Who cares? I dont care if gays want to get married. Let them! What the hell is the problem? Everyone keeps saying that it endangers the American family or threatens the children. How? No one ever bothers to give you an explination on how this is a threat. Are they afraid gay couples are going to kidnap children from straight families and molest them? If they are afraid, seems like these people should be checked into a mental ward for a case of extreme paranoia. The fact that this vote sucked up so many funds, so many voters, so many demostraters should be a sign itself that this is being carried too damned far. This country was founded on some very simple ideals, and all I've seen is those ideals being covered up with dirt to make way for the interests of certian groups. Firstly, the goverment (state and national level) is to be seperate and in no way influenced by religion. All these thousands and millions of dollars being donated by church groups for these things is a violation of that ideal right there. Secondly, this is a goverment of the people, by the people, and for the people. Meaning ALL the people, not just the ones that can throw the most money around. And lastly, that this goverment shall not deprive it's citizens of life, liberty, or the persuit of happyness. Again, ALL of it's citizens, not just the ones it likes at the moment.

I dont care if you're gay, sadomaschasistic, or from the planet Neptune. Marry whoever the fuck you want and stop wasteing tax payer money! And you church groups can lick my fucking ass! Why dont you all move back to the middle east if you wanna be closer to god. See how things go for you over there, fuckers.
