
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was an american jet fighter of the first generation of supersonic aircrafts. It entered in service in the USAF in 1954 where it served during the Vietnam War, 243 of those were destroyed whose 198 were destroyed during a fight. It also was used by the Turkish Air Force and served in the invasion of Cyprus in 1974 and was retired in 1982. Some other air forces like the Danish one which use 62 of them, the Taiwanese Air Force used 122 of them and the French Air Force used 100 of them until 1978.
This one was a former aeroplane from the EC 3/11 "Corse" before to be gave back to the USAF for been sent on the Air Base of Bitburg, Ouest Germany, where it will be exhibited until the shutting down of the base in 1995, it was recovered by the Ailes Anciennes de Toulouse but it still owned by the USAF museum.
