purplepardus had a YCH up earlier this year that I latched on to, because I instantly "saw" Cinnamon in the scene, using her spear to drop-kick some target into oblivion with her big ol' bunny foot.

Betcha didn't know she had claws, eh? Bunnies have 'em, of course, but Cinnamon's are retractable (shush, you biology people! ;)).

Cinnamon, for those who don't know, is my "ioang niNa'vi" creation, literally translated as "Na'vi-like beast" (I think). She's sort of a blend of a Na'vi (who are actually sort of cat-like), and jackrabbit, with some liberties.

In my head canon, she is a native of James Cameron's Pandora, from a tribe of Na'vi-like peoples who primarily populate the deserts, although Cinnamon is insatiably curious and a formidable hunter, so she explores a lot more than most of those in her tribe do. Thus the various environments she gets drawn in, though I think most of them are desert-like. 'cause I like deserts, and 'cause deserts were not really represented AT ALL in the Avatar movies, but a "planet" with that kind of bio- and geo-diversity would have to have deserts somewhere. (though, come to think of it, I don't remember seeing much in the way of rain, thunderstorms, or other weather phenomena). And yes, there's a reason that her people have two neural whips (PandoraUSB tentacles!), whereas the Na'vi from the movie only have the one. But I'll get into that some other time.

Anyway, I digress, because I'm dreading going to work.

Cinnamon can use her long spear as a sort of pole-vault, and with Pandora's lower gravity and stout trees, she can do some pretty fancy pouncing on prey or foe.

Get 'em, Cinnamon!
