I don't know what I was thinking... This character doesn't even have wings usually. Oh well, let's just chart this up to "a wizard did it."

Also I originally planned it as a daytime scene, before remembering that Matt is a werewolf so this really should be at night. I think it looks better this way though.

A3 watercolour, I haven't done a big watercolour in ages, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy them. Took me about 12 hours more or less. I used a random wolf photo from Google image search as a reference as well as some sketches and studies from a zoo visit. I've been all over wolves recently, nice critters.

I'm also thinking of making this the first in a series. I'm considering calling it "Animals with wings that do not usually have wings." I'm thinking a giraffe next, then maybe a red panda.
