lukiri was all "draw the base and draw over it" and I was like "wow i'm dumb", tried it, and crapped this out in 10 minutes instead of 30-45 X'D life is good I LOVE ART ADVICE
I've also had a little insight that was kinda like... when you know how to draw, for example, like literally being aware of all the principles and elements of art as well as anatomy, it becomes hard work to play god on the canvas when you're aware of the rules.
So this is why my art has been taking me forever lately because I'm more aware of how things are "supposed" to be done. It helps with producing great art, but geeze louise does it ever require a lot of energy -- which is probably why I don't like talking to people when I'm drawing either! Art requires so much energy @_@ for me at least, I'm not fully educated on how to execute everything properly yet and that bugs me too X'D ahh art life

oOo Question, since this reminded me of it, looking kinda fight-y wolf-y (I'm great with descriptions).
Have you read a book called "Shiver", by Maggie Stiefvater? o^o It's about wolf-shifter type things. It's really cool, lots of interesting characters, drama, romance, and stuff. ;;v;;
Plus it has wolves. o^o Wolves are cool.
Also I understand what you mean, I really need to work on that kind of thing for my work art woOPS. Mostly with improving shading to bring out the depth more, but some of that will correct itself when my anatomy and line art gets better and more stable, or more "correct". ovo
