Big the Cat stand sprite v. 3

Now he's looks somewhat accurate to the original Sonic Games, but no way he'll get into 16-bit hardware without being drawn and quartered first, then it'll be pretty much hell to piece his parts together well enough. ... Oh well whatever sprite sheet this ends up being will be the stuff for fan games.

Hmm... Ok here's the stats:

Dimensions: 79 x 71 px (Sonic is 39 x 29 in comparison)
Colors: 22 + Transparency (They hold somewhat true to the Genesis, but with some liberties.)

I guess that's it.

Oh yeah, I will be testing some of Big's and other's animations on my avatar. So, yeah.

Wow, this sprite of Big is quite amazing, Runde--I've always been quite partial to this kitty since Sonic Adventure, and your take on him is really epic! ^w^

Wow, thanks! I don't know if I decide to make a full sheet of him and his moveset will bring but this is definitely encouraging!

I really like the way this sprite came out! :o the detail on the gloves, the shading on his arm, it all looks amazing. Great stuff!

Hmm... I am looking to make my versions of Sobek or Anubis soon so I can put up a tutorial about how I come up with these alongside the finished product. The work will take a bit of time, though. I am looking to make a portfolio sheet out of them.

Even though you'd sacrifice things if you make him truly faithful to a 16-bit game, there's several indie games that imitate the aesthetic of the 16-bit era but wouldn't actually work on real 16-bit consoles :^O You can afford to take liberties, especially with sprite size if you ever wanted to make this a real thing. After all, Big is a rather fat character that demands more than just a simple 30 x 30 canvas.

The problem shifts from the emulator or the hardware to the screen. At this size, big will be so small he'll be unrecognizable on most of today's monitors. Maybe there's software that can help with that if I decide to make a full sonic like sprite with Big. (which will be a first ever!)

I know a guy that might help although you'd have to use different gameplay engines to make some good scaling and resolutions for sprites, I'll note you about it.
