Oh my gosh. Fred Patten, the former editor of several "Furry" fanzines and Apas introduced me to a story titled "Of those who have gone before," and I first thought your image was based on this story. It kind of tugged at my heart to contemplate how the little fox people living in the far flung future might feel about finding the remnants of a garden with a statue of Saint Francis of Assisi still intact, and bestowing his gentleness though the centuries, even though he is only made of stone.

This makes me immeasurably sad, but satisfied at the same time, if that makes sense.. going to have a drink now, in memory of some family members..
