Here's my lovely pile of duct tape me on the ground alongside my foam pieces that made my leg. Again, I recommend safety scissors for this part so you're not constantly being poked. And be careful with the clothes you wear because wrinkles can easily be snipped. I wore a tank top that was fairly tight so the wrinkles were less. Also sleeves are hard to not snip sometimes too, which is what my friend wore and I had difficulty not cutting them.

After this the next step is to tape it back together. If you're not careful it won't be your shape anymore so try to get it as close as possible. Making some jags in your cutting lines will help you line it back up later. Its better to have space between the lines so its too big as opposed to overlapping them so its too small!
