Far off in space, there lay a collective of vaguely rabbit like creatures. Their eyes flicker lights of pink, cyan, yellow, in rapid succession. Communicating faster than thought through patterns of light and the gentle bleeples and chirps of electronic transmitters. It is through this method that they project their will onto other victims to expand the network of their loving pink. Rapid eye flashes induce paralysis, overloading the victim's mind with ideas and messages they couldn't possibly process fast enough with their limited cognitive mental scape. Eventually their brains burn out, leaving a receptor for the hive to fill. And for their lovely nanites to ooze over and convert their matter into artificial, durable plastirubber. Of course, once you receive the signals from the lagomorphs, it's all sunshine and eagerness. Here, a newly recruited Lagomorph drone is expressing her(?) affections to their sister drone. They seem to be getting along just fine. If only you could tell who was who.
A valid question comes up with these creatures regarding gender. Considering they are without any visible orifices or reproductive organs, the cushions on the front of the chest suggest they have a feminine touch to the hive. Who can say? I suppose the only way to know is to join them. Then again, I'm told the Lagomorphs don't often ask any questions.

A fun idea spawned from plenty of discussions with Immelmann about 50s sci fi and twilight zone episodes. We both expressed an appreciation for "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and decided to spin up our own design. I think it came out rather nicely. I created the sound effect of the lagomorphs communicating from a broken hard drive. it's actually quite cute if you listen to it. Maybe I'll upload it to my scraps.
