For those who don't already know, He was abandoned in a community center parking lot on Labor Day Weekend 2008, I rescued him, he was healthy until getting Lymphoma last year, had to be put down a couple weeks ago. One photo shows him just after rescue and other two are about a year later. He liked to lay on my arm like that as well as curl up on the seat of my scooter.

What a touching and fitting tribute to your cat Marmalade. Sheesh! I remember your postings many years back about finding the cat, and the the antics he'd get into. This image also intrigues me because it gives me cause to wonder if actual Wolves can cry. I know they grieve, but from what I understand, the tears flowing from the eyes bit is strictly a "Human" thing. What I'm getting at in my typical, convoluted way is that this image shows that this Wolf might have a very "Human" soul, and that grief is a natural thing all creatures have to endure. My most heartfelt condolences.
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! This is one of the things I have been pondering ever since getting into "Furry" fandom almost 30 years ago. I didn't want to write up or draw my anthropomorphic animal characters like "Humans in Animal Suits," but more closer to their animal types. One idea I've been kicking around for at least 20 years or more is about a fellow in the wild woods of Northern Oregon who suddenly finds himself transformed into an unusually large Wolf. All throughout the story, "Fuzzball" tries so hard to convince the human researchers studying him that he really isn't a wolf, but the scientists believe he's just a wolf-dog hybrid who has been raised by humans. It isn't until a researcher watches Fuzzball idly playing with a rubber ball and making "Three Corner" banking shots in his enclosure that she realizes the wolf might just be telling the truth.
...And Red Wolves are one of my favorites of the Lupine species.

Sounds like a nice idea for a story and glad they are
Sometimes I like to think he'd go into the Smokies, leave his bike, and clothes hidden somewhere and mess with the tourists and park rangers by making them think they've seen an unusually large red wolf and wonder why its wearing a ballcap and necklaces
