music. Reso - Creature
I did this piece as some sort of tablet driver setup to check pressure control and set up Krita's user interface. Just a quick one hour creature design draft. Something a bit more out of the box which is closer to what's inside my traditional sketchbook, in comparison to my rather "normal" designs I publish online.

I'm not dead... but damn, even after a hard reset for my PC the issues remain. The thing is now running slow as hell upon booting system-relevant processes (even if there's an AHCI SSD installed) and still suffers from the same occassional crashes and freezes once a while. Even after several different tests and checks, I can't make out what's the problem. RAM is 100% alright. No hard drive errors. Windows is 100% ok. I even installed old graphics card drivers from March to check if that's the problem.
It's certainly not software-related, I'm 99% sure. I reinstalled all programs and up-to-date drivers and my machine is still unstable as hell while booting or even at random in Firefox, in the BIOS, in games or even on the flippin desktop in idle mode.
A shame because I now (finally) have a lot of time available where I could have been able to draw, but I believe I will leave my machine turned off now until Monday and then bring it over to my PC store of trust... who can, hopefully, fix the issue as quickly as possible without telling me I need to buy fresh hardware worth several hundred bucks... or more horrible, if they can't find the error at all.
So, this is some sort of... PSA, I admit. I'm here, but I can't draw digitally, and I won't be able to do it as long as my machine isn't running properly or when it's being checked and repaired.
Wish me best luck that my PC will work again... somehow.

I WOULD say it's nice to hear and see from you again... alas, this PSA isn't full of particularly cheery information. I'm sorry to hear that your issues are persisting, and I'm sorry that there isn't really anything I can do or offer for help. I just hope you can avoid the worst case scenario of having to buy all new hardware.
On lighter news, I do like this interesting design you've come up with for this creature. Freaky and weird, certainly... but also pretty cool! I've always quite liked 'faceless' creatures, and it's general anatomy and shape are a great mix of recognisable shape, coupled with a very bizarre silhouette.
I'm a little biased to orange too, though... oh! And I love the music! Quite strange indeed, though certainly more 'developed' than I expected from looking at this piece. Maybe this creature is a bit more smart and sentient than I'm giving it credit?

If I had to buy all new hardware without which piece exactly is the culprit... that could quickly turn into a waste of money. I won't need to buy an all new rig, of course, but my assumption currently is that my mainboard is somehow broken and if I need to buy a fresh one, that would also mean I would need to buy a new CPU if I wanted to stay up-to-date in terms of technology. And that's when stuff gets expensive.
I hope my trusted PC store will be able to analyse the machine and find out some exact problems... and if it only means I will need to reconnect some hard drive cables or do minor software work, I'm fine, haha.
And thanks for the appreciation of the design! It's something I made up on the fly when I sat next to someone who had no idea how people could come up with random ideas to draw out... which is exactly what I do when sketching, so I made up some creature and character designs to explain the whole creative process. Always ends up pretty bizarre, though. My traditional sketches are way less "mainstream" than my digital stuff which is way more streamlined and less weird on purpose, haha.
I also promise I'll try to get back to chatting when I can... and working on that piece, huh.

Here's hoping it doesn't come to that, and your PC repair store will be able to pinpoint the problem, and that it will be a simple fix. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, man.

It gives off some pretty mixed signals in regards to predator vs. prey... and it's just overall cool that this is something you could come up with, spur of the moment. I continue to be impressed with your innate creativity! Even if it's pretty different to your 'mainstream' artwork for RISING.
Though I appreciate the sentiment, better not to make promises in such unstable circumstances. I know how finicky issues like this can end up being, and I'm happy to wait as long as it takes to get back to talking. And don't even concern yourself with that artwork, either. I don't mind waiting, and I don't want it to worry or stress you out.
