Meet Clara Acyn, a zombie cheetah femme from Romero, Georgia. (I know, cheap pun.)

Her history is on the image above and after the initial shock, she'll adjust fairly well.

The reason she is back from the dead has to do with a quirk in her genetics (a case of either this trope: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p.....BiologyForever or this one: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p.....in/MST3KMantra ).

In this sit-comish setting, there is a cross species gene held in a small percentage of people that enables them to return from the dead, yet not decay or age beyond the point of when they died. Death by natural causes prevents the gene from working, and immolating the corpse prevents them from rising again. Also, damages post mortem can be healed through a normal diet (converting matter to matter.)

And yes, Clara is held together by stitches.
