Hmm. It kind of looks like a ninja teletubby is about to jump out of a plane, doesn't it? Heh heh heh

The boot. I've never seen one like that, so I thought maybe it was something not-a-boot.

It's a tabi boot. They're for martial arts. I don't do martial arts, I just find them comfortable. You can get them on Amazon.com. If you do, avoid the ones with the velcro -- authentic ones have metal hooks you can use to close the boot. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it works pretty well. I velcro my jumpsuit ankles over the hooks, so they're not likely to go anywhere and I don't have to worry about shoe laces. I find I can feel the wind in them a lot better than I can in shoes.

I don't use my jumpsuit with my wingsuit, but so far I haven't had a problem with the hooks with that, either. The wingsuit has a little half-bootie that you step into and then zip down the leg-wing. That does a good job of keeping everything in place. The hooks are pretty secure anyway, I've done a couple of jumps in plain clothes and never had a problem on those either.
