Backstory: Born in noble upbringings, Sweet Chardonnay was always the odd Filly out in high society. She'd be seen playing with the fruits and berries in the back yard and making a mess while doing so. They had sent her off to Magic Academy to hopefully breed that little rambunctiousness out of her. Sadly, it only fueled her into discovering more ways to brew and mess around with fruits and juices. She even branched off later into Ryes and brewing along with beverages of various types. Her specialty seemed to dwindle down to different wines in the end. She even learned spells that let her multiply the quantity of flavors and enhance the aging process of different brews.

When her family had her take up a job at the closest Gentlecolt's club to home, they eventually came up with a contest among employee ponies. Whoever could make the best cocktail would have their drink featured on the bar's menu while given a small percentage of profit as a raise. The percentage would be small, but it also would be equal to how many customers order their cocktail. S.C Went right on home to not only concoct such a cocktail, but also make her own brand of wine that would be used in it! Days had passed before the weekly deadline for the entrants, and she had spent hours non stop making sure her wine was at its best with the cocktail recipe that went with it. The Ingredients involved taking in season canterberries pickled in a sweet and sour brine for days before juicing and filtering with a blend of ginger and sugar in the mixture. She tasted it herself for quite some time with each ingredient before she managed to get it right.

This very peculiar wine ended up with a sweet and savory taste at the start before ending with a nice acidic aftertaste that woke up the taste buds soon after. The cocktail that was featured in it ended up being top of its class in shocking surprise. They not only allowed her cocktail to feature in the menu from there on, but also ended up commissioning her for more of the custom made wine soon after. Considering how late her cutie mark came due to having been sheltered from her chance at discovering it, this had been her most defining moment of realizing just how potent all her hard work at wine making really turned out to be. It was there that her cutie mark finally showed when she realized just how special her talent really was.
