You spoke, I listened (and decided to combine two of the ideas)!
If you have it in your heart to signal boost this YCH auction for me I would love you forever.
This is a 'Your Character Here' auction, with two separate slots (Blue and Red). The winners of each slot will have a character of their choice drawn into the image. The piece will be fully shaded and refined to the best of my ability, ideally like so: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16996061/
A few Rules:
~ Any sex or species is allowed for both slots.
~ Small wings, extra arms, etc. Are allowed. If you are unsure about your design, feel free to ask before bidding.
~ No creatures with bodies that are vastly different than what is shown (taurs, ferals, etc).
~ Payment is due within 72 hours of auction close or it will go to the next highest bidder. If there is no higher bidder (or the next bidder cannot pay), the slot will be relisted.
~ DO NOT hide or retract your bid, or you will be blacklisted and removed from future auctions (this includes collab auctions).
~ my ToS Rules apply. Please familiarize yourself with them before bidding.

Anti-snipe feature: Bidding is extended by 15 minutes after the final bid. This 15 minute extension is added after each bid is made, and the auction will end only after a bid stands uncontested for 15 minutes.

Yep! Payment plans are a-ok, but the majority of the work will not be started until full payment is received.
A good portion it should hopefully be due within 72 hours of auction close either way to secure your bid(s), and we can discuss the details of the payment plan over notes once the auction is over.

I would be comfortable doing half within the 72 hour limit, and the other half after sketch approval.
As the anatomy/pose is already pre-destined I generally do one approval stage for my YCH's. Just the sketch so that you know the characters look like they are supposed to, and to make sure I haven't forgotten any important details. But you are free to request changes as I post the work in progress's after that point, (there should be a couple with a piece this large) if necessary.

Hahah yep, no worries. I totally understand the paycheck deal, this is mostly just to protect me from investing a lot of time in a piece of work and then not getting paid for it. I've had it happen in the past and it sucks. I'm actually dealing with a similar situation right now and trying to figure out how to handle it @___@
Regardless, you paying in intervals gives me a more relaxed timeframe to work on this piece, and it will likely turn out better for that.
