I'd almost forgotten about it, but I did like the intro.

Here we begin to learn about some of the background of the world and some of the characters. And hopefully, between the intro and this, the mood is appropriately set.

The writing style might be a bit different from the intro, I'm not sure. If it is, it's probably simply because it's been a while.
