the Ibedian Gnolls are ann odd breed of gnoll, somehow branched off from the 'regular' ones. They are almost always in servitude, as their name might suggest [Bediansteter being German for Servant]. This is not simply misfortune at work: Ibedians can't imagine life away from their owners. Their joy is found in their masters', and the one thing that makes them truly happy is to see a smile on their master's face -- even more so if they themselves brought it on.
They tend to look very underfed, no matter how well they're taken care of, simply because of their tendency to forget food or water because of their engrossment in their duties.
They view collars, Shackle cuffs, and the like as signs of endearing ownership, and even in the face of severe abuse, only view their master's as their most important loved ones... next to their family and kits, of course.
When they're 'set free' they search almost desperately for a new master, or at least a place where they can feel safe, protected, and have someone to clean and help around the house for, no matter what they need done.

X3 It looks like you've been really busy lately, Min! It's great to see so much new stuff from you. ^^ I really hope this means you're including all of this stuff with your work on Wayfarer.
For this in particular I think you did the emancipated look very well, which is surprising considering how rarely it shows up in your work. I think it's neat that you do different body types so well like that. The tattered clothes do a great job of playing up the servant role and I think you did a good job with them too (the cuff on one arm is a nice touch). The one thing I will say about the physical appearance is that the footpaws look a little to small to me, but they might be alright for a light, lithe body. Oh, and it is interesting to see all the scars along with the mention of abuse in your comments, I'd have to wonder how most of them would be treated...
Actually, I bring up that last point because I do really think you have good ideas and this is one of them; it opens up a whole lot of different possibilities. Like, what do "real" Gnolls think of their brethren? Or if this is one branch off of Gnolls, could there be more? If you do plan on incorporating all of this into a D20 system, more power to you, because I think you've got a lot more creative ideas than most of the D20 stuff I've seen lately. ^^

yeah, those paws are fuckin' tiny D:
but they're tiny x3 so it all works out
and yup! this is all gonna be in an RPG I wouldn't say D20 because it might end up being soemthing totally different x3 I'm weighing my options right now, and trying to develop something of my own.
and technically there are a couple other gnoll types too
though they're purely factions right now
the evil ones, which follow Grandemu
and the 'good' ones, who follow... um... can't remember her name right now
those are both dieties x3
the average gnolls might either feel sorry for them or hate them for their dependance, I dunno really x3 prolly ranges from group to group. and yup! I'm really creative lately <3
oh, and due to the fact that many of them are owned by very wealthy HUMANS, alot of them get treated fairly badly D:
