Curious if you read the IDW turtles series, and what you think of their reincarnation idea? I thought it worked pretty well for the story they are telling.

Wow, this is so damn cute. I'm not usually one who enjoys TMNT art, but this is really sweet. It's funny how different iterations of TMNT have different ideas of what kind of parent Splinter was to the turtles. I like this idea of him.

Ha! Well the way I see it, because human infants need a lot of nurturing if they aren't going to end up pretty fucked in the head, mutants with a human intellect and emotional structure would probably need something similar. Their bodies are reptilian but their personalities and psyches are totally human. Splinter would have to fill all parental roles, including those thought of as 'motherly'.
