I cannot say that I know you or really anyone close to the situation here... but...
Upon finding out about this and reading up on the events that transpired and the people involved I can say that as I'm typing this my work has come to a standstill. Reading about this has profoundly affected me. There's nothing to prevent something similar from happening to my mate and I, driving around the county in my old Honda CRV. There's nothing preventing me from being struck while abiding law on my bicycle. There's nothing preventing any of us from having our lives snuffed out in an instant without justice or fairness.
I grieve for the two of them, their families, and all the many friends they have including those in the fandom such as yourself. I know words are just that--words, but I take this moment to offer my sincerest of condolences. Let these events that transpired be an everlasting reminder as to how precious all our lives are, and what a truly wonderful experience it is to bring joy to others.
Rest in peace Red and Milo. May we all live on to joyously celebrate life.
