I finally completed it. I decided to scrap my original plan and I went with a fake alligator skin to give it a nice texture and feel. After layering the material I turned several of the wrinkles into battle scars. I finished it off with some jaw flares and spikes running behind the head. Inside holds two Arduinos driving the 13 LEDs and one 1.8 inch LCD screen for the eye. There is also a 10k MAH battery that rests behind my neck powering everything.

After layering several pieces of material together I was left with lots of edges. To remove them I was able to use a soldering iron to flatten the edges by melting them to make 2 pieces of material look like one. I used lots of acrylic paint to blend in the fixed edges and adding the jaw flares took even more work. At the end I used some matte clear coat to even out the paint with the skin and it worked perfectly. There are some edges around the neck i did not smooth out because they wont be easily seen from the rest of the head when I wear it.

Now I just need to work on my other pieces to make a partial and also get my character actually drawn and named :)
