i use spray paints on the plastic parts you can get those at Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Lowes Home Depot. Spikes and cones and whatnot can usually be bought on ebay from China for hella cheap. The grill you see is for a PC fan, and they're between $3-$7 a set on Amazon (the come in plenty different sizes I think the 50mm ones fir perfectly in those size cans, but i may be wrong. the one you see there was too big and i had to cut it down. The respirators come with filters, but you want to cut the little cans open and dump the carbon out for ease of breathing. The orange background in the cans is actually Fabric taped to card stock. did that help? ^.^
i buy all my respirators off of amazon or ebay for as cheap as possible, the mask part is usually rubber or silicone (neither of which you can paint) and you can get one barrel or two. I'll provide links tomorrow to the two styles that are most cost effective and customizable. I do goggles too, but I live in an area where you can buy the 50mm circle frames for about $6 at a store, online charges way more. Luckily respirators can be imported for cheap leaving you with a lot of cost room to customize. As an aside, for a specific product, cryoflesh.com has UV acrylic spikes, but you have to contact them and ask about getting them separately, that's the only place i've ever found them. pawstar.com makes barrel inserts, and they fit both single and double barrel respirators since the circular barrels on the masks are typically the same size (keep that in mind when buying)
