Managed to fit one more quick-ish drawing for my own before thesis drowns me again.
Last year, before the con, I've read about there being a DnD section, and I wanted to join. When I was thinking up of a character, the idea of a buff, dual axe wielding, incredulous and benevolent looking deer very suddenly popped into my mind. And thus, Darren was born. But before, I actually imagined him as a barbarian kind of character kinda like how I drew him in this quick color sketch. But later on, when the con was near, I realized that the rather large party only had one healer (Sean, the druid). So I decided that, maybe at least for the game, Darren would be a priest so we would have a lot more sustainability. I remember that it was hard at first representing my character as something he wasn't, especially something as far fetched as priestdom. Darren, at that time in my head, was a barbarian, not a priest. I hope people with OCs would relate to changing something on a character of yours that made them "not what you wanted them to be because of reasons." But as time went on after the con, the idea kinda seemed cooler to me more and more and thus I stuck with the idea. And thus, I always represented Darren as a battle-priest. For me it felt like that this character had a unique twist to him.

Dude, this looks interesting! The design for this character in DnD is impressive. :D And I like how the little blood effect came out for you.
I wish the people in my university would let me take a turn on DnD. But I am told they are full. It's too bad there is not a different option for me to join. It's not like I can be an NPC somehow. Then again, I am taking a long while to finish reading the manual to understand DnD.
