just for the heck of it: here's how I honestly feel about your art, as it is:

+'s shading on and how you do clothes

-'s faces and anamy (sp?) eg he looks like he crapped out his tail again :p I suggest putting it from the green of his shirt, instead of his pants.

Overall: needs improvement but has also improved with tremendous strides, keep up the good work... and don't let anyone get you down. :)

i dont agree with the whole tail from green shirt thing. it looks fine where it is, just needs more dimension.
the feet on your char actually look really good.
