this is my pride and joy. my R/C monster truck. it has taken me 3 years to get it to this point and i have probly invested over $1200 at this point and i figure to finish the truck the way i want will take close to another $1000. i have clocked this beast at 40kmh with half dead twin 2000mah nicd batteries and 19turn motors. the motors did not survive the sped run and both motors blew up, one motor taking the gears in the axle with it. the list of hop up parts on this truck is:
Thunder Tech Racing Bumper and skid plate ( X2 )
Thunder Tech Racing 3/4in wheel wideners (X2)
Thunder Tech Racing Center 4Link Post (X2)
INtegy 6inch shocks ( 2)

sweet, i want to open my own hobby shop here in my town. i have been in the hobby for about 18years now. not yet ready for a nitro in my case cause i dont have readily available parts and fuel for it. i have one plane, not done, but i want a heli. less space to take off. i also have 3 boats and a couple of cars including a Bolink pan car
Well , i wish You luck with Your future shop =) I've been flying rc planes since 1995 but i didn't have time for it while at colledge . Now i decided to try a car , and its totally different for me . A plane doasn't change much in it's entire "life" , but car has lots of adjustments , and it can be set-up totally different even the next day =D
Helis are hardest to fly . Airplanes are easier . I fly heli (Blade mcx) 'over' our shop here to attract attention xD

lol, i'm pretty sure i can handel a heli, and if you want a hand full to drive and set up, try setting up my monster truck. it's got independent 4wheel steering and 10shocks. to turn the back wheels and turn sharper you have to turn them the opposite way to the fronts
Yeah , Your truck is really advanced , 10 shocks - wow ! i wish i know how to set it up =] I knew that there are trucks with 4 wheels steering , but i didnt see any yet . So far i am rebuilding that rustler of mine , previous owner didn't care much about it , but now i almost make it working . Mrrr , i'll took pix this week and put them online =]
the 4wheel steering trucks mainly all come from tamiya, the clodbuster was one of the first. as for the 10 shocks, it's so i can really fine tune the landings, cause with my truck fully loaded it's nearly 20pounds, and a single shock cant take that much hit from a jump, the 5 shocks perside are all linked together to help each other in motion
I see You prepare it for jumping =] I think previous owner of mine car tried to do it for jumps too , result was maximum spring preload and springs too long , but it was really hard to drive . Now i make it driving predictably =] Yes with (heavy) monstertruck landing requires powerful suspention =] here we have Traxxas & Kyosho models , but Tamiya is not in our shop =] Well i am ending my shift , soon be going home , See You =)
