Totally agreed. The first time that I was watching the movie, I inmediately fell in love of this character, and I felt terribly sorry for him and for how Thunderbolt treated him like an ass. I always thought that the end of the movie it's not fair at all with it... and for that I'm writing this fic. I felt the urge to "repair" that end with a continuation.
