I've beeeeen thaaarrr, didn't walk with Lions though... But my sister's hubby is from there, so she has and has pictures of what I'm sure is the exact same lion from a couple of weeks ago. 4 year olds, no?

His fur felt very coarse like that of a short haired dog! It was the most amazing experience I have ever had!

well you to can go walking with thes guys if you got the money. theres a Safari Park in Mauritius were you can go walking with them, as well as Cheaters, at the time they where building a wolf pen as well. I got photos of the Cheaters as well didn’t go walking with them, but the photos where taken by one of the keepers on a another tour.

£ 30? That's not so much if you aren't going to Mauritius just to walk with lions. ^^

I just had to Google Mauritius because I'm not familiar with that island. Upon browsing through their official website, I now want to visit there. It's absolutely gorgeous! I could probably wear-out my camera if I was there.

Cool that there's a place where you can be that close to big cats like that. I'd love to walk with a Cheetah, I hear they have rather pleasant personalities. Have you heard about the Tiger Temple? Same concept, only run by Buddhist monks. Tigers are kept at the temple sanctuary, even raised from cub-hood, and people are allowed to visit and walk with them, even touch them or get their pictures taken. Sounds like it would be a fascinating trip, though there's some questions about whether or not the animals are well-cared for...

What an incredible and rare opportunity you had there :) - I've worked around big cats, too - and I'm very grateful to have had the opportunities to do so. I envy you though, getting to work with a white lion.
