I tried for moreunique character designs of the general faces I have been practicing so far. No matter what it looks like the final guy on the top row is furry, he's just zen about it.

I found the more wild and creative I became with the hair and fur the more lively my characters seemed to be, so that's something I'm keeping. I hate that I can't yet draw the same face quite the same way twice, so my OTHER dragon cousin is helping me out with figure drawing. I needed the beefy build as I put him together muscle group by muscle group on a frame, hopefully once I get the perportions down in my head I can ease up on the steroids.

I'm so very happy with the Kung Fu puppy! I only wish I had drawn him larger, but I had run out of room on the page. I didn't have the heart to upload the version after I erased my pencil lines, it was like stripping him of all of his personality. Conclusion: I need colored pencils so I can give back the details I take away.
