Heading out of the arena.
So I didn't put this in the other picture's description simply because, it's a headshot and I wanted to save this information for last.
Dixie sadly passed away last year. She was 43yrs old which is old for any horse breed however, it's not uncommon among the drafters to live slightly longer than their lighter bred cousins.
She sadly didn't die of natural causes but rather of the life threatening hoof disease Laminitis. She somehow managed to get it in all four hooves and due to her age at that time, her owners felt it was simply kinder to put her to sleep even though the disease itself was in it's earliest stages.
Kyle and Erin simply didn't believe in a less than 30% chance. It was either 50/50 or nothing at all when it came to their older horses. Younger ones, they would fight to keep alive, but their older giants, they just couldn't stomach putting them through more pain than what they deemed necessary.
